Materials used in producing Giclée prints are all archival (museum quality). This is done to preserve the life of the print and prevent discolouration. The papers, hinge tape, backing sheet, and mounts are all acid-free. The paper is German Hahnemühle 308gsm heavy weight fine art quality paper. This is a collectable work highly valued in the marketplace and can increase in value over time in the same way as an original artwork. Giclée prints are found in a limited number of fine art galleries due to the cost of producing them. They are as accurate as the original work can be due to the quality and complexity of the process that was developed in France in the 1980’s.
All print sizes are based on the size of the paper. We normally allow a minimum of 1 inch white border around the artwork. Images will not be cropped to fit space unless we are requested to do so.
